Commission Details
Our card game, Archon Arena, is complete other than box art and branding. The chosen artist will be hired for a paid assignment to create print-ready artwork for the game. When funding is complete, a large additional commission may be available. To be clear, they are considered a work for hire, licensed for commercial purposes.
Logos
The first commission involves the creation of two related pieces of art.
First, update the following ambigram which spells the words "Archon Arena". The text must be legible right side up and upside down. The image below should be used as the basis for your design. This piece may be black and white or color.

The second creation is a variation of the first. Use your ambigram as inspiration for a logo for Archon Arena. This should be similar to the first piece but more legible as it will NOT have to be read upside down. This item should be in full color.
Box Cover Art
A second commission is for the creation of a piece of art to adorn the game's cover. This will be full color. The idea is a wizard-type figure in the foreground, a spell swirling on his hand, and an armored warrior farther back. The two are in an arena with arching stone spires. A giant blurred eye looks like a moon in the background. The style should be realistic with detail but vivid, contrasting colors.
Here is a mockup I did. The arena floor should be dirt with some rubble. The spires of the arena wall could be of various materials and textures. Both figures clothing can be different, but I like the shape of the helms to mimic the spires. The mage would be less muscular and appear in a more active posture. The knight would be more in focus (but still slightly blurry to give depth), and his weapon and posture are open. Generally, the color scheme is also open to interpretation, but it must fade to solid colors at the left. I like the shown blue-grey color. Also, please adjust the composition.
